During designated Black Rodeo USA rodeos, fun-filled mornings are dedicated to youth and the young at heart in our community! Kidz Rodeo Experience is an educational event to engage youth, families and older adults alike with the magic of rodeo.

HARNESSING THE MAGIC OF RODEO

Many of today’s youth are not involved in agriculture, never attended a rodeo or even seen a horse in person. Kidz Rodeo Experience instills an appreciation for the rodeo sport and lifestyle, as well as sparks the minds and hearts of future competitors. Participants leave with goodie bags and, more importantly, positive messages exposure. We hope your students and faculty can join us for this cultural and educational event.

SHINING SPURS SESSION

The Shining Spurs Program provides an accessible and sensory-considerate space designed for children/youth, families and older adults alike, as well as anyone preferring a calmer rodeo experience. Participants get up close and personal with cowboys and cowgirls and horses and learn fun rodeo techniques.

GET FIRED UP

BLAZIN’ ROUNDUP

Youth get an introduction to the sport of rodeo, learning about rodeo events and rodeo techniques during the Blazin' Roundup Experience. Ladies barrel racing, tie down roping, and steer wrestling will be demonstrated. Lessons on horsemanship and animal safety also will be provided, as well as opportunities to ask questions of cowboys and cowgirls.

  • Who can attend the Kidz Rodeo Experience?

    The Kidz Rodeo Experience is an all-ages event. It is geared toward youth and families. 


    The Shining Spurs session is open for youth and older adults with disabilities (i.e., neurological and developmental disabilities) who would benefit from a sensory-considerate space, calmer environment as well as hands-on activities.


    The Blazin' Roundup is for youth, students, families and the senior community.

  • How much are tickets to the Kidz Rodeo Experience?

    The Shining Spurs session is no cost, but participants must register online.


    The Blazin' Roundup is $15 per person. Children ages 4 and under are free.

  • What is the best time to arrive?

    You want to give yourself enough time to park, arrive at the gate and find seating. The gates open at 8am for Shining Spurs. The Blazin' Roundup is open at 9am.

  • Is food available?

    The venue offers concessions; however, you can bring a lunch for this event to partake in the parking lot area.

  • Are there facilities for young children?

    The venue has nursing rooms, and we provide stroller check-ins and lost-child rendezvous spots.

  • How can I sponsor the Kidz Rodeo Experience?
